Description |
Photograph of the Macdonald Stewart Art Centre. Taken from the sidewalk in front of the building, on Gordon Street, the lower section of this red brick building is obscured by bushes. In the right foreground of this image is the sculpture by Carl Skelton titled Canadiana/Begging Bear. The doors of the building are positioned in a white-pillared front porch. The double doors are only just visible, beneath an arched frame to a rectangular window. There are further windows directly on either side of the door, as well as four above it, and four on each of the two storeys in the portion of the building directly to the left of the building. All of the windows are outlined in white, as are the building's eaves. The centre portion of the building has a peaked roof, with a half-circle window in the centre of the peak. There are several trees around the building, and part of the lawn is visible, as well as the sidewalk, and three posts with two banners each, advertising the Art Centre. One person is walking on the sidewalk. |
