Description |
Black and white photograph of Upper Wyndham Street from St. George's Square. On the right is the Blacksmith Fountain. The fountain is the statue of a blacksmith, cast in metal alloy, standing on a basin supported by a rococo cast iron pedestal. The statue is sitting in a circular pool. On the left side of Wyndham St and the photograph is the Tovell Building. On the right side of Wyndham Street - the farthest building is the Wellington Hotel with the tall roof. Beside it is the Masonic Block, followed by the Alma Block, Kennedy Block, Ryan Block, McQuillan Block, May's Block, and finally Traders Bank on the end. The block storefronts have awnings. The street and the square are filled with people walking and on horse and buggy. There are power lines on the left in front of the Tovell Building. Many women are holding umbrellas indicating that it is raining or just finished raining. |
