Description |
Mounted black and white photograph on cardboard frame with dark blue printing. Horizontal box outline of picture. Printing beneath the picture. Two rows in the picture: 3 men standing at back, 2 men seated in the front with the trophy on a low table between them. The trophy has a low, broad base with four name shields on its front. On the base are a large figuring curling stone resting on two brooms and two curler figurines one on each side. The man seated, proper right, is wearing dark pressed pants, a shirt and dark tie, a light coloured cardigan with a curling stone with crown above badge on his left breast. He has short dark hair, mostly covered by a "Tam" with plaid band. He has narrow rim glasses. And in his left hand he holds a curling broom which points towards the trophy. Seated on the other side, an older man, slim, has a similar cardigan but no badge, a patterned tie, and is wearing a "Tam" with a dark band. In his right hand, he lightly holds a curling broom also pointing towards the trophy. Standing behind, proper right, is a man in dark, pressed trousers, a dark coat with light piping around cuffs, side pockets and at the shoulder tips. Two metal buttons are visible at his mid chest. He is wearing a dark tie, has dark short hair and a knit, two-colour "Tam" with plaid band on his head. On the band are pins or badges. Beside him a white haired reverend stands, wearing a dark, double-breasted suit coat with wide lapels. He is wearing a clerical collar shirt underneath. The scene is starkly lit, casting shadows against a plain, light coloured wall. On the wall, proper right, is a light switch; on the left, proper, is a socket with a cord running into one receptacle.
