Coloured slide of the repair of the Heffernan Street walking bridge. A view from the riverbank looking towards the east bank. The two arches are visible, as is a small portion of the remaining span. Both arches have wooden planks and railings. Large wooden support structures are being erected on the arch closest to the west bank. The footings of the bridge and the Speed River are visible to the north side of the bridge. The Grand Trunk Rail Line is shown in the foreground, while the backs of some houses on Arthur St. are visible in the background. |
