Black and white slide transparency of a photograph of the Guelph Maple Leaf Baseball team in 1874. In the photograp, the players are wearing uniforms and sitting on benches in a stadium with covered bleachers. The uniforms are light coloured with maple leafs on the right side of their shirts. The players are all wearing caps, one of which is striped. The players have dark coloured belts around their waists and argyle style socks. Several in the front row are holding baseball bats. There are also four people in dark suits. Spectators are visible behind the assembled group. On the far right in the front row is George Sleeman. In the middle of the back row is Thomas Goldie, wearing a suit. |
