Copy of of GCM Collection 1977.80.9 Front of Riverview as the original stone cottage with Gothic gable and tiny trefoil window. Family grouped on front porch. There are two young boys in front, W.A. Higinbotham and John D. Higinbotahm (holding dolls), a young man behind the boys, an older man, Nathaniel Higinbotham, holding a baby and a woman, Margaret Jane Allan Higinbotham, holding on to a baby carriage. To the right of the door is an older woman, Christina Idington Allan. In front of the house are several trees. Written on the back, in pencil, is "The Higinbotham Home Riverview 5 Queen St. Guelph about 1866 when still cottage" On the back there is also a black stamp "F. Grundy" |
