This slide depicts the Guelph Horticultural Society float. Sitting on the float is an elderly lady in a wooden chair at the front of the float holding a basket of flowers and surrounded by peonies and other plants. In the middle of the float is a young member of the Horticultural society sitting underneath a white arbor covered in flowers and vines. On the side of the float is a sign that says "Guelph Horticultural Society". The wheel of the tractor pulling the float is in the bottom right corner of the slide. Paradegoers can be seen standing along Wyndham Street outside the King Edward Hotel. |
