Description |
Black and white photo mounted on a cream mat. The photo shows 13 women standing around a cake that they made of the HMCS Guelph. They are standing inside a bakery, Guthrie's Bakery. Most of the women are wearing white baker's dresses but one woman is wearing a different coloured outfit. The cake stands on a pedestal that is draped with an Union Jack. The cake is decorated with lots of flowers, a saying about the sea, and it is topped with a sailboat. The interior edge of the mat has the names of all of the employees listed in pencil: Back Row, Left to right: "Jackie Moisan, Jean Lazzari, Eleanor Patton, Mary Hasson Zinger, Olive Guthrie, Ruth Craig Guthrie."
