Viewed from the bottom of Horsman's Hill, near the corner of what is now Arthur St. and Macdonell St., the painting overlooks the Priory across the Speed River, with Allan's Bridge and Allan's Mill at the right. In the background is St. Andrew's Church, the Court House and Jail. A couple boats float in the river, and people stand on Arthur St., in the foreground. |
