Description |
A gold-coloured lorgnette with two round lens. The fixed frame, mounted on the end of the lorgnette handle, is connected to the end of a semi-circular bridge with spring mechanism hinges at both ends of the bridge to allow for frames to fold over each other. "1/10 12 ct." stamped into underside of bridge. Handle attached to one frame is squarish in shape with a simple design on the surface. Frame release mechanism built into the handle in channel. It is operated by sliding the ornate designing on handle in a downwaed motion. The lens in the fixed frame has a significant chip out near the handle. A round loop at base of handle for lanyard or chain. A twisted, greenish-coloured rope lanyard attached to the loop by a jewellery clasp. A basket weave design, silver coloured slide or woggle is on the lanyard. |
