Description |
Sepia toned drawing done by Dorothy Clark McClure in 1971. The drawing is done in ink and it is of the Christadelphian Hall which is a stone building with a low roof and four thick columns at the front supporting a shallow porch roof. At the top of the building is a cross window detail and beside the building is a large stone brick building, four trees stand in the foreground and three people are engaged in the scene. At the bottom of the drawing the title reads "The Christadelphian Hall - 187 Norfolk St. - Guelph, Ont. c. 1860 (established c. 1900's)" and in the lower right corner there is a signature by "Dorothy Clark McClure/71." The drawing has been mounted on a foam board with cardboard backing set behind a brown matte with a white boarder surrounding the image. On the back of the mount board are two stamped disclaimers in red ink which read "It is recommended to preserve your sepia toned original that it not be exposed to continuous direct sun or florescent light.; Copyright reserved Red House Studio, Aurora, Ontario Canada no reproduction allowed without consent of the artist." A black label indicates the image was mounted by "Spinning Wheel Custom Framing" with the business address. |
